Excerpt of the book "Never Let me Go" by Kazuo Ishiguro. This was my submission for the Folio Book Illustration Award 2026 depicting the passage of the novel that appears above.

ALTERNATE VERSION
In this first  version of the illustration, the action and interaction between Tommy and Kathy H. didn't fully convinced me, so I reworked the poses, make them face the spectator to create a more direct bond to the action, even though the main visual element in the composition, always was planned to be Hailsham.
