Luis Torres is a Graphic Designer, Illustrator and animation Director with 31 years of experience in advertising, graphic design, animation, motion design and visual arts. Currently works as a freelance artist and teaches art and animation at various art schools and universities in Mexico City.
He was the formerly creative director and animation director of Cluster Studio, and was the founder and Creative director of his own animation studio La Flama.
He has been represented internationally as an animation Director through Curious Pictures in New York and Resistor in Canada. 
He has won several awards for his work in animation, illustration and design, the most important to date 2 Gold World Medals in the 2010 New York Festivals in the best Direction and best Art Direction for an animated short film categories of the festival.
His work and trajectory has been published in specialized media like Wired, IdN, Territory, Capsules: Drawn 03 and Taschen, in which his work appears in two Taschen books: Logo Design vol 2 and Latin American Graphic Design.
Through out his career, he has worked with many clients, advertising agencies production companies and studios.
Some of the clients he has worked with: Nike, JWT, Leo Burnett, DDB, Rush, FNHA, Discovery Channel, Bimbo, Ford, Pepsico, Kellogg’s, Diecinueve 36, Cluster Studio, Together Words and Pictures.
Hispaintings have been exhibited in New York at Agora Gallery, Resistor Gallery in Toronto, Framers Gallery in London and Aguafuerte Gallery in Mexico City, and currently he forms part of the artist roster at Galeria Sala Marte in Mexico City also.
