This animation was created for the First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) to showcase the work and effort that Community Nurses do in British Columbia First Nations community. Using the concept of the river of life, the whole idea was to reflect the journey of one native Canadian woman through her whole life and how the community nurse was present in all important aspects of her development. The river was the metaphor of the flow of life itself and how life is cyclical.
Co Directing with Hector Herrera from Together, I developed the visual look of the piece, and also was in charge of the animation. Overseeing the art style of the backgrounds, developing the characters designs and overall aesthetic of the animation, my illustrations where used as the starting point of the project, to get approval from the production company and the client.
